Event description

Description

Any commercial landscape worker that is applying fertilizer to a property for pay, must be in possession of a Limited Certification Urban Landscape Commercial Fertilizer license. To obtain this license, the commercial fertilizer applicator must first take a certified Green Industry Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) workshop and then pass an exam with a score of 75% or greater. This workshop is intended to provide you with the mandated training and administer the required exam (exam given same day as class). Once you have satisfied the training requirements and passed the test, you will be mailed a GI-BMP certificate and wallet card. Upon receiving this packet, you can then apply to the Florida Department of Consumer & Agriculture Services (FDACS) for your fertilizer license by sending in the application, a copy of the GI-BMP certificate, and a $25.00 processing fee. Study material can be pre-obtained by contacting your local county extension office or at http://fyn.ifas.ufl.edu/professionals/BMP_class_agenda.htm. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
