A diverse network of educators and sense of community is created through this fully immersive programme in which participants stay overnight on the Green School campus. For 4 nights, 5 days, attendees will experience green living at its finest while sleeping in Green School's Student Village - a 2-story breezy, bamboo dorm and sharing some of the most delicious food on the island, prepared by Green School's amazing local kitchen team. Our Green School teachers and community members will provide our participants with an enriching educational experience.

5 Day Programme: 'Community Problem Solving'

A sustainable community is far-seeing, flexible, and wise enough to thrive from one generation to the next and sustain its natural, economic, social, and well-being support systems. What makes a community sustainable and able to thrive its life span? The cultural values often shape our way of acting and living. They are providing us fundamental guidance on ways of living sustainably that encourages a spirit of harmony among people and its natural environments. This course focuses on the way community problem solving becomes a part of our education. Understanding the approach to create sustainable awareness is based on society and in order to create a sustainable future we need to learn how to approach the community through culture's awareness. Participants will practice the skills they need to create education in which finding solutions to the local social issues that concern them is integrated.
