A diverse network of educators and sense of community is created through this fully immersive programme in which participants stay overnight on the Green School campus. For 2 nights, 3 days, attendees will experience green living at its finest while sleeping in Green Camp’s Lodge - a 2-story breezy, bamboo dorm and sharing some of the most delicious food on the island, prepared by Green School's amazing local kitchen team. Our Green School teachers and community members will provide our participants with an enriching educational experience.

3 Day Programme: 'Different Faces of Education'

Education takes up various faces throughout the world. One system may work in certain countries, others may not, depending on each country’s history, culture, and many other aspects. However, they are all having practically the same characteristics where students are rarely encouraged to speak up and bring out ideas. The education forms have not changed for hundreds of years so that scholars conclude that we are in need of a new form of education, an education reform. Green School offers holistic, student-centred, and project-based learning for students to acquire 21st century skills needed in the outside world parallel with the development of technology and science. These forms and 21st century skills need to be in line with students’ capability to solve future problems in which climate change is the utmost urgent challenge. But how can we integrate each of them into the classroom? Participants will learn about strategies to help students develop their skills in analyzing problems, facing the challenges of the future, and improve their research, group work, and communication skills.
