About this Event

The Living/Dying Alliance of Southern Oregon presents . . .

GREEN BURIAL: The Greenest Way to "Go"

What is green burial? What makes it the "greenest" compared to other options?

Mary Ann Perry, the sexton at Oregon’s first and only dedicated natural burial ground, will help you explore green burial and how it opens the possibility of continuing your life values after your death.

Might green burial be the right choice for you or your loved ones? What are the laws and steps to take in Oregon? How can you find the resources and legalities in your state for green burials? What are the options for after-death body care in the home?

We'll also look at The Forest Conservation Burial Ground at Willow-Witt Ranch in Southern Oregon as an example of exclusive green (aka natural) burials, and burial or scattering of cremated remains. There is also a pet cemetery on the ranch.

Bring your curiosity. There will be opportunities for questions!
