Greeks in Health Care

In 2016, as a newcomer to the Maryland area, I sought to connect with fellow members of sororities and fraternities within my health care organization. With the assistance and
loyal support of my colleagues, additional Greeks were identified, and our community started to evolve. Instead of planning typical networking events, I aspired to facilitate opportunities to bring this special group together to deepen relationships with shared experiences that enrich culture, education and community... the values we stand for.

By December 2018 our group grew to nearly 100 members. As members from other health care organizations expressed interest, in 2019, I decided to expand "KP Greeks" to "Greeks in Health Care" offering the opportunity to build professional relationships with specially bonded Greeks contributing to the health care continuum across the Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD areas.

Today, we continue to grow! I am proud to announce the launch of the new Greeks in Health Care’s website,! The intent of this site is to more readily share group updates, events and opportunities for collaboration! Please spread the word and welcome others to our unique community!

Thank you for your continued support. I look forward to witnessing relationships flourish and sharing more experiences with you within our unique community.

Best wishes,
Toshka “TK” Nelson
