Greatest Hits: Jane’s Addiction Exhibition | Opening Reception

Musichead Gallery is proud to present Chris Cuffaro’s Greatest Hits: Jane’s Addiction. This 3-day exhibition takes us through Jane’s Addiction at the peak of their success. Despite having been a band for only four years, the early nineties saw group achieving international and critical acclaim as one of the earliest alternative rock bands to break through the mainstream.

Join us Thursday, September 15th from 8 pm to 10 pm for the opening reception of Greatest Hits: Jane's Addiction by photographer Chris Cuffaro. Enjoy refreshments and a live DJ set while exploring Cuffaro’s images of the band, which show them behind-the-scenes, their ecstatic live sets, and, more infamously, lead singer Perry Farrell posing as Jesus Christ in bed for Exposure magazine. Equal parts artist, documentarian and fan, Cuffaro’s images are a unique foray into the interior and exterior lives of a band at the peak of their success. This curated display is an homage to the unique symbiosis that exists between photographer and subject: Cuffaro's stunning images, while a testament to his artistry, exist in part because of the inspiration provided by the music of Jane's Addiction.
