Cyber Security for the Real World
If most cyber security presentations were a book, they would be 95 pages of doom and gloom about the statistics of data breaches, and only 5 pages about cyber security with non-specific recommendations that you know already. That is NOT the case this time. This presentation casts that stale agenda aside and gives you new insight into the rapidly developing world of cybercrime and gives you specific things you can do to protect your company from cyber threats. You will walk away with best practices along with tools and tips you can start implementing right away to greatly improve your company’s cyber security posture and also better protect yourself.

We will be holding multiple sessions in the following learning tracks:

  • Orchestrator and tools - sessions with real example of how to create orchestration and see what they can do for you

  • IT - keeping hackers out - security protocols for JDE, IT roundtable discussion, reducing customizations

  • Accounting/Sales - Accounting roundtable discussion, Understanding Mfg costing, Power BI for analysis, E1 search, Sales Order Preferences to handle exceptions

  • Manufacturing, purchasing, warehouse- Data collection roundtable with other local companies, capacity planning, Item entry setup, ask us anything round table

In addition, we will save plenty of time and have room for networking and talking with JDE experts and vendors.

Tim Rettig, CEO of Intrust IT

Tim Rettig is a second-generation entrepreneur in the IT industry. Tim’s father started a software company in the 1970s, where Tim grew up learning data communications. At the age of 19 he was installing computer networks for cities and police departments throughout Ohio. While in college Tim started his own IT company in the early 1990s, handling projects such as securely interconnecting Department of Agriculture offices throughout the US. Tim sold the company four short years after starting it, only to buy it back eleven years later. In his almost 30 years in the IT industry Tim has bought and sold numerous businesses. Today he is President and CEO of Intrust IT, a Cincinnati based IT company that simplifies cyber security for businesses and government agencies of all sizes. Tim has the unique perspective of being a business owner concerned about cyber security, combined with a deep understanding of information technology. That gives him the ability to communicate complicated topics to both business owners and IT professionals.
