National Travel and Tourism week, May 6-12, will celebrate the contributions and accomplishments of the U.S. travel community. We invite you to celebrate our STARS of the Hospitality & Tourism industry at our May 3rd luncheon. We can't wait for you to hear their stores and meet our brightest stars!

About the Special Guest Speaker: Kevin Triplett was appointed in April, 2015 to the cabinet of Governor Bill Haslam as commissioner of Tourist Development. Prior to joining Gov. Haslam’s team, Triplett served Bristol Motor Speedway as vice-president of public affairs, overseeing government and community relations, special initiatives such as tourism and community relationships, and development. The TN Department of Tourist Development has initiated several new marketing campaigns under Commissioner Triplett's guidance and the effectiveness is indicated in the 2017 Annual Report with tourist spending topping $1 million in all 95 counties, and 92 counties marking an increase.

About the venue: Built in 1965, The Foundry on the Fair Site was originally operated as a foundry for the casting of railroad spikes and flathead nails from cannonballs. It fell into disuse, bured but was then renovated to become the Strohaus during the 1928 World's Fair. Bought by the current owners in 1993, The Foundry ahs since become a unique setting for weddings, company parties and luncheon meetings. The Foundry can seat up to 600 people and will divide into sections that can accommodate any party.
