Greater Knoxville Area Stroke Club, sponsored by the Tennova Rehab Care Center at Physicians Regional Medical Center, provides stroke survivors and their friends and family members with social, educational, and recreational activities, as well as companionship, understanding, and a sense of belonging.
Stroke Club members learn how to adapt to a new way of living from the experiences of other members and from a variety of professionals who dedicate their time and expertise to the club.
In addition to monthly meetings, the Stroke Club hosts social and community activities such as dinner outings and water therapy. Annual events include a steak dinner, Valentine’s Day bingo night, and a Christmas party. Members often make arrangements to meet socially and share information.
For more information or before you attend your first meeting, please call the Program Director, Tennova Rehab Care Center, at (865) 545-7161. No registration for meetings is required.
