Greater Dayton LGBTQ+ VIRTUAL Her/History Rubi Awards
Event Information
About this Event
Order a takeout meal from Wheat Penny and then join us VIRTUALLY in the comfort of your own home to hear from PETE BUTTIGIEG (Mayor Pete) and DAYTON MAYOR NAN WHALEY as we recognize the best of the best in Greater Dayton LGBTQ+ Herstory and History. We will honor torchbearers of equality, inclusion and justice as we recognize pivotal people, places, events and organizations that have helped us all RISE UP and GROW STRONGER to make the Dayton area more inclusive and affirming for LGBTQ+ people. You'll hear compelling stories about people and organizations who have created change to make our community and our country more inclusive and equal for LGBTQ people, including a prolific Dayton-area author who was known as the "godfather of gay pulp fiction." It's a chance to say "thank you" to many of the people who helped pave the way for our community. Early bird tickets are available for $20 through Oct. 1. Afterward, tickets are $25.
