Event description

Description

The 1st annual Great Plains Social Studies Workshop is an event for all current, future, and former social studies educators and will be an opportunity to learn tried and true methods of teaching content as well as networking with other social studies professionals from around the region. The event will begin at 8:00am with the opening message at 8:30am. There will be 9-12 breakout sessions led by area educators from 9:00am to 12:00pm followed by a keynote message by Dr. Ashley Baggett, who is a professor of history and education at North Dakota State University. Following the keynote, the group will have the option of meeting at Hennessy's for an informal lunch and time to network with speakers and attendees. At 2:00pm, anyone who is interested in becoming involved with the GPSSC is welcome to stay for the board meeting. Since we are a new organization, we are seeking involvement from more social studies educators.
