Event description

Description

Connected Health Cities North East and North Cumbria is hosting its next Network event on Tuesday 10 July 2018 from 10am – 4pm (registration from 9.30am) at Rainton Meadows Arena, Houghton le Spring.

At this event, we will be exploring how we capture the information sharing preferences for the 3.6m people living in our region.

Over recent months we have been working on ways of achieving this, whilst this work is still under development, we need your feedback on the direction we are taking.

This is your chance to help shape how we put the public in control of how their health and social care information is shared within the system and with researchers.

The regional privacy preference tool is in early development, and we would like to show you what it looks like and capture your views on how we can implement and agree a shared approach across the region.

The tool will capture the preferences of the individual to share their information at the point of care – with health or social care practitioners, and their views on sharing their information with approved researchers. There will also be the opportunity for individuals to register their contact details so researchers can recruit them to clinical trials.

Whether you are working as a frontline health or care practitioner, service planner, in public health or research – your views need to be heard and represented.

The event will include a number of presentations and a workshop session so we can capture your feedback to develop the approach further. There will also be networking opportunities and a number of exhibitors to see.

The event is free to attend and includes lunch and refreshments.
