Event description

Description

The Great Cocky Count is on 8 April 2018. This very important event is like a 'census night' for WA's endangered Black Cockatoos as they come into their night roosts. Data collected is used to understand populations and how the birds are using the landscape.

Taking part in the GCC is easy, but there are a few tricks that will make your experience more enjoyable and get better results.

Join cockatoo experts from Birdlife Australia and Murdoch University to learn about cockatoo ecology and then join in a practice count at sunset.
