Grassroots Legislative Advocacy 101
Event Information
Description
Learn advocacy from the advocates!
We're a grassroots, peer-based mental health advocacy organization in Colorado that is dedicated to improving the lives of people with mental health conditions. Why? Well, because we have them too! That's what we mean by grassroots. We aren't policymakers or politicians, we're just people who want our voices to be heard. And we want yours to be heard too!
What you'll learn
During this free workshop, you'll learn about:
- The legislative process in Colorado
- Prominent issues in mental health advocacy
- Crafting testimony for legislative hearings
- How grassroots advocacy can make a difference
Who you're learning from
