THERE WILL BE 22 COMPUTERS AVAILABLE TO USE WITH SEATING FOR 40; PLEASE BRING A LAPTOP WITH RHINO AND GRASSHOPPER TO ASSURE PARTICIPATION

This workshop will begin with the basics of Grasshopper, a visual programming environment within Rhino, starting with how to navigate the Grasshopper workspace, construct and reference geometry, and object translation through a variety of methods. From this baseline, students will begin to explore how to construct and utilize data within Grasshopper towards the arrayed manipulations of 2D geometries. The final aspect of the workshop will be surface generation, decomposition, and augmentation building upon the prior experience with data types towards the creation of novel 2.5D forms.
