OPENING NIGHT SHOW AND GRAPH-MAKING: 6 - 8PM, June 19

You may think you know a thing or two about what goes on behind closed doors, but there's a hidden world people reveal in the Graphic Sex Project. Using 1 cm colored cubes, participants decide what each of 10 colors represents for them, then chart their sexual values, experiences, and predilections. Browse hundreds of individually-made graphs, by people of every age, sex, orientation and gender expression. It's a eye-opening, thought-provoking, conversation-inciting display of the range of human sexual behavior. Opening night, artist Jennifer Beman be on-site to talk about her favorite graphs, and what she's learned, at 7pm. Installation continues til July 7.

ABOUT THE GRAPHIC SEX PROJECT

Jennifer Beman thinks people should talk about sex more — to bring it out of the shadows and the realm of taboo. Normalizing the conversation, and making it more playful and natural, is key. When you know what you want, it’s easier to say what you want. When you can say what you want, you are more likely to get it. Browsing the graphs of the Project is glimpse into the amazing diversity of how we express our sexual selves, and come to a place of greater acceptance for our own unique sexual expression. Making a graph is a way to get a new perspective on your sex life, and help you start a playful, honest, and revealing conversations about sex with a partner.
