Scott Peterson began his career early with appointments by both New York State Governor Mario Cuomo and Governor George Pataki, as both a youth and adult member of the NYS Juvenile Justice Advisory Board, before working in the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government, where he managed more than $250 Million in Federal Grants from the U.S. Departments of Justice, Education, Health and Human Services, and the Corporation for National Service.

Scott then served as both the National Director for Criminal Justice at Youth Build USA (YBUSA) and Senior Juvenile Justice Advisor at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA), where he wrote winning public and private grants totalling more than $50 million dollars, to include winning BBBSA and YBUSA their largest ever federal grants at $11 million and $8.9 Million respectively.  Scott continues his 25th year championing Youth/Teen/Student/Peer Court and Peer Jury Diversion Programs, with his role as founding CEO of Global Youth Justice, Inc., in addition to Scott being in the final stages of creating a similar much needed volunteer-driven court diversion program for the Criminal Justice System in the USA, and for other Justice Systems around the globe.
