Description

This Grant Writing Workshop, led by POISE Foundation’s Karris Jackson, is a part of Metro-Urban Institute's Urban Leadership Series. Ms. Jackson will be sharing information on how 501c3 designated organizations can acquire corporate and foundation funding.

Karris M. Jackson is Vice President of Programs at
POISE Foundation, a community foundation focused exclusively on supporting the African American community. Ms. Jackson’s responsibilities include managing the Foundation’s grant making portfolio, convening community stakeholders and advancing the foundation’s mission through public policy, leadership and advocacy. She has a strong desire to push the boundaries of philanthropy to be more inclusive and effective at addressing issues impacting the Black community.

Metro-Urban Institutes’ Urban Leadership Series is comprised of workshops and lectures, aimed at equipping organizations and individuals with the tools and skills necessary to address issues in urban communities. This series is facilitated by various community subject matter experts. Join us for networking, refreshments, and workshops led by local community leaders.
