Learn how to apply for federal grants from an experienced grant reviewer.


Grant Writing Bootcamp is a 3-day "deep dive" into the federal grant proposal process. This training benefits new grant writers, nonprofit staff in fundraising, career changers, and anyone that wants to learn in-demand job skills. Workshop may meet your CEU requirements in nonprofit finance, grant management, performance, and evaluation.


Throughout the session, you will study 8 important parts of a federal grant request. You will write a Need Statement, Project Budget, Project Goals and Objectives, and Evaluation Plan. We will talk about best pactices in grant management, 2018 laws and funding, and learn how to build a good logic model- a new requirement for many grants.


Dondra Ward, CEO of Sidnae Global Research will lead the training. Dondra left the federal government after 7 years to share her knowledge with organizations that enact social change. Her portfolio includes private foundations and government agencies like the US Dept. of Education, District of Columbia, AmeriCorps, US Environmental Protection Agency, Nurse Corps, Medical Corps, and USDA.

3. You will work in small groups to review example proposals.
4.You will learn best practices in nonprofit fundraising.
