About this workshop: This course covers the essential grant writing strategies and skills required to successfully submit competitive corporate and foundation proposals, and state and federal grant applications for funding consideration. Emphasis is placed on researching and writing.

Trainers: Dr. Beverly A. Browning, CSPF - Dr. Browning is based in the Phoenix MSA and is the author of 42 grants-related publications, including six editions of Grant Writing for Dummies™ (Wiley.com). She has raised over $430 million in grants and contracts for her clients. Kim Joyce, GPC, began her career in education and has been involved with the nonprofit sector as a grant professional, fundraising professional, and volunteer for over 20 years. She assisted clients in receiving grant awards of nearly $25 million. The instructors’ clients have included nonprofits providing services in the areas of health and human services, education, at-risk youth, homelessness, healthcare, the arts, charter and public schools, faith-based organizations, and units of local government.

How can you come prepared for Grant Writing Boot Camp Express?

  • Bring information on your grant writing project including: organization’s background/history; current programs and activities; the needs of the community where you provide services; writing paper for additional notes. Pens and writing paper will be provided. Please do not bring laptop computers or tablets; the workshop site will not be set up for computers/cords/personal technology. Lunch will be provided by the Arizona Community Foundation of Yuma.

Registration Fee: $99 per person. Sorry, no purchase orders will be accepted. NO REFUNDS: If you pay and are unable to attend, you can designate a substitute attendee or receive a copy of the training materials.
