About this Event

It’s never too early to plan for the upcoming grants season. If you’re new to the game or would simply like to hone your skills, please join us for a workshop on best practices for finding and applying for grants.

This event includes an overview of the proposal-writing process. We’ll cover the four stages of crafting a well-researched proposal from the planning stages to implementation.

The workshop concludes with an hour of hands-on learning with the Foundation Directory. This is the perfect time to research grants and foundations prospects for 2020. Participants are welcome to stay after 4pm to continue their research.

By the end of this workshop, you’ll be able to:

  • Work through the four stages of grant writing
  • Identify grants that meet the needs of your project
  • Be able to implement tips for writing a grant

Workshop schedule:

  • 1:00pm: Registration, coffee/tea and networking
  • 1:15pm: Welcoming remarks
  • 1:30pm to 3:00pm: Introduction to Proposal Writing
  • 3:00pm to 4:00pm: Guided Practice
