Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

Are you a teacher who needs more materials and supplies for your students? Are you an artist who wants to share your passion with the next generation?

Discover what funders are looking for from educators and teaching artists seeking grants. Use the resources from the Enoch Pratt Free Library and learn about local agencies and foundations to understand how to search for funding on your own.

This class will provide you with an overview of how to write a standard project proposal to a foundation. It will include:

  • Introduction of the Foundation online Directory and Grantspace

  • What funders are looking for in a proposal

  • The basic elements of a proposal

  • Examine sample proposals that have been funded

  • The “do’s” and “don’ts” of writing and submitting a proposal

  • Hands-on exercises to develop a proposal outline

COME WITH YOUR IDEAS FOR THE 2017-18 IMPACT FUND!
