Event description

Description

This workshop is a global overview of grant writing basics. It includes but is not limited to researching key search engines and how to cultivate funders before attempting to write a basic grant template. Then, it focuses in on building a grant by walking through each grant section, followed by a brief look at evaluation and outcome, and hallmarks of excellence that drive a proposal.

Attendees will walk away with:

  • A basic knowledge of techniques to draft a winning proposal for various funders

  • How to update existing proposals with some new tips and tricks

  • An understanding of why certain proposals are rejected and how to course correct

Following Grant Writing 101, Foundation for MetroWest staff will review the budget template they uses for all Foundation grant programs. Staff will also answer any questions you may have about the template.
