Event Information
About this Event
Are you an artist interested in applying for grants and don’t know where to find opportunities? Have you applied for grants without much success? Are you interested in learning more about residencies and how to get accepted into one?
Join Melody Hernandez & Tova Lobatz for a workshop focused on finding and building relationships with funders. During this workshop—designed specifically for artists—you will
- Discover how to find the right funder based on arts discipline, geographic area, and other demographics.
- Learn how to build lasting relationships with funders and increase funding potential.
- Walk away with a list of funding opportunities as well as the skills to determine which ones are a good fit.
The Grant Workshops for Artists series is designed to help artists navigate the grants landscape and increase their likelihood of securing funding. We have designed these workshops with diverse artists from marginalized and underrepresented communities in mind. While all artists can benefit from participation in these workshops, they are most helpful for participants who are new to the grant world or have had limited experience with grants. Each workshop will include valuable information, resources to use as you move forward in your pursuits, and time to complete your own research and/or writing.
Tova and Melody have decades of combined experience working within the arts community and the grants world and use their experience to help artists and art-focused nonprofit organizations find and secure funding. Combined, they have secured $4.6 million in grant funding.
