Grant Research, Writing, and Administration Seminar

The Grant Writing Seminar offers a general overview of American philanthropy, providing participants with an understanding of various types of foundations and grantor agencies, and the general principles that guide their giving.
Additionally, focus is given to the research process and basic skills essential for writing winning proposals. Further attention will be placed on developing organizational protocol for administration and budgeting of grants.
Sponsored by Supervisor Federal Glover for the past decade, the seminar has given the tools for community based organizations and government agencies to apply for funding from foundations and government programs.

Priority registration will be given to first time attendees.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Daily parking permits may be purchased from the black parking permit vending machines for $3.00.
All vehicles parked on the campus whether in a parking lot, dirt lot or perimeter road (Miwok Way and Los Medanos Drive) must have a valid parking permit.
LMC is served by frequent Tri Delta Transit buses to Pittsburg/Bay Point BART and local communities. Buses numbered 380,387,388 and 391 all serve LMC Monday-Friday. Local route fare is currently $2.00 for ages 6-64, and 85¢ for ages seniors 65+ and disabled passengers.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Seminar attendees may NOT utilize video and/or audio recording devices to record the presentations. However, we do encourage particiapants to bring laptops and mobile devices to use during the seminar.
