Grant Research and Writing Workshop: Secrets for Success
This workshop will offer guidance on how to increase your success winning grant funding in the competitive not-for-profit environment. Key aspects to be explored are:
Research before you write
Communication with and feedback from funders
Collaboration with other not-for-profit organizations, and
The workshop will be a hands-on interactive session. Examples of parts of actual grant proposals will be discussed and analyzed. Attendees are also encouraged to bring sample documents from their own organizations which can be discussed after the session on a one-to-one basis with the presenter. Basic familiarity with the grant writing process is helpful, but this session is appropriate for beginners as well.
Target Audience: Executive Directors, staff members, board members of not-for-profit organizations.
Presenter: Mary Frankel, former Associate Dean for Research and Sponsored Programs, Rutgers University. Ms Frankel worked with faculty and staff in all disciplines producing grant proposals for research, public service, and capital projects. She was also a reviewer of grant proposals for federal and state funding agencies.
