Where to look for grant opportunities, how to determine which ones are right for your project, making your case, addressing guidelines and reporting requirements, building funder relationships - consultant Barbara Beerstein will cover it all. And we will spend time reviewing the 2017 Local Arts Grant application and providing tips for that upcoming application deadline.
Led by Barbara Beerstein - Principal of Beerstein Associates, a resource development and management-consulting firm. Barbara has more than 30-years experience as both a staff member and consultant to nonprofit organizations nationwide including arts organizations – performing, visual arts, and science museums – and to colleges and universities, legal services, and social service organizations. Barbara is a published author, a regular speaker at fundraising seminars and conferences, and a respected trainer contributing to organizational success.
Barbara holds an M.B.A. in Not-for-Profit/Arts Management with a concentration in marketing/finance from the Anderson Graduate School of Management, University of California at Los Angeles. She served as a Santa Cruz County Arts Commissioner for 12 years and advocated successfully for establishing the County’s public art program. Among her clients have been Burning Man, The Exploratorium, Mexican Heritage Corporation, Silicon Valley Arts Fund, Monterey County and Santa Cruz Country Community Foundations, and Montalvo Arts Center.
