Event description


This no-cost beginning level 3 hour grant payment financial reconciliation training session will help state grants staff:

  • Review the policy scope and minimum requirements
  • Learn grant payment financial reconciliation process steps
  • Practice completing a grant payment financial reconciliation based on a case study format in small groups

Due to high demand, this training session will be limited as follows:

  • Up to 25 attendees
  • Slots available on a 1st come 1st serve basis
  • No more than 5 attendees per agency

For agencies who need more than 5 individuals trained, we will seek input from agency managers to prioritize attendance to best meet agency needs.

When registering, please select the ticket type that corresponds to your State agency.

What if I’ve never done a grant financial reconciliation before?

Great – we all had to start somewhere and this training is designed for you.

What if I don’t have a financial background?

That’s ok – this training is designed for you.

What should I bring for the small group work?

An open and inquisitive mind.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

No. All training participants must individually sign up with their own contact information as all required electronic training materials, registration confirmation, and templates specific to the training will only be sent to the individual that registers. *Training participants have experienced problems when entering their own information for multiple training spots. Please only register yourself.

What is the cost of this training?

This training is free. However if an individual registers and doesn't show up we will charge your agency $25.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

  • If driving, please allow plenty of extra time to arrive and park, given traffic on the capitol complex. Lot Q is the closest parking lot which is diagonal from the Admin building on the Northeast corner of Cedar Street and Sherburne Avenue. A parking map is here:
  • While there are over 60 public metered parking spots available in Lot Q, sometimes they are full. Lot AA is another option and is located on the Southwest Corner of University and Rice Street and the entrance can be accessed from Aurora Avenue.
