FAQs

How does registration for trails work?

When you fill out the registration form, we ask you to give us your top 5 trail preferences. We also ask a little information about the type of 4-wheeling you prefer so that we can be sure to place you on a trail run that you will enjoy. We then make trail assignments based on your preferences and do our best to get you on the trails you’ve requested. We try to group vehicles together that we think will move at about the same pace. The earlier you register, the more likely you are to get your first choice. The trails we run are subject to overall interest and trail leader availability for that trail.

How will I know which trails I'm registered for?

A trail schedule will be emailed to you 1-2 weeks ahead of the event. It will include your trail assignments, along with meeting times & places for both trail runs and BBQ's.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Drivers must have a valid driver's license. Passengers may be any age.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

No alcohol is allowed on trail rides.

Vehicles must either (1) be licensed; or (2) have a valid Colorado OHV permit

Most mild to moderate trips include highway driving to get to the trail head, so will need to be licensed. For vehicles towed to the trail head, a Colorado OHV permit is accepted.

For rock crawling trips, tow rigs and trailers are encouraged, and in some cases mandatory.

Where can I get a Colorado OHV permit?

Colorado OHV stickers can be purchased from Colorado Parks and Wildlife
