Come to our 8th Annual Community Meal Packing Day!  The event is free and enjoyable.

We are a local grassroots not-for-profit organization (Community Partners for Hope of NJ, Inc.) centered in Pequannock, NJ  and we are enabling our friends and neighbors to work together to feed the hungry. Community Partners for Hope of NJ, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Make your check payable to CPFH-GOH and mail it to PO Box 532, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444.

We provide wholesome food to those in need in one or more categories: (1) on a global level with targeted recipients in serious chronic need, (2) on a global or regional level with targeted recipients suffering from recent natural disasters or other calamity, (3) within the State of NJ in collaboration with larger community feeding programs providing assistance for the chronically undernourished. In our short existence, our volunteers (like you) have packed over one million meals for the hungry in our Pequannock events!

We are not a "first responder" organization in natural disasters and leave that responsibility to the appropriate agencies and organizations with that mission. Our focus is on those needs which outlive the immediate actions of these organizations and which are expected to remain over several years.  Since our activiites are planned and executed on an annual cycle, the delivery of food typically occurs 6-9 months after our decisions are made about target recipient areas, thus the need to focus on longer term needs.

Our activiites are confined to one core action.  On a Spring weekend each year, we congregate volunteers to assemble a recipie of dried food ingredients into a large number of sealed pouches, each a family-sized meal. Our pouch includes a scientifically formulated blend of dry ingredients and vitamins that make a nutritious mac and cheese meal. The pouches (many thousands of them) are shipped to target areas and distributed directly to the hungry and under-nourished  by on-the-ground partners who ensure that the food is delivered free of all charges directly to those in need.  The dried ingredients in the individual pouches are simply cooked in water by the recipient as a nutritious stew.

All of our community partners (churches and other community organizations) engage in fund raising projects of their chosing in the Fall and Winter to help support the purchase of our raw ingredients and packaging materials. Your direct financial support is also very much appreciated.

We welcome inquiries from other organizations who are interested in joining our Pequannock area event, or who want to explore setting up their own packing event with our assistance. So far in this program, we have consulted with 6 other organizations who have planned their own packing events, and some have already conducted sucessful events following our model.  Please contact us at info@GoHnj.org for an exploratory consultation.
