Event description

Description

The Health and Medicine Division of the National Academies is hosting a workshop on Graduate Medical Education Outcomes and Metrics from October 10th-11th 2017 at the NAS building Lecture Room in Washington D.C.

Breakout sessions will be facilitated during both days. We reserve the right to switch attendees from one breakout group to another in order to preserve size equality between groups, but we will try our best to ensure that most people partake in the breakout group they selected. Please choose which specific breakout group you would like to join when registering for this meeting:

Breakout groups on October 10 regarding GME outcomes at one of the following levels:

  • Outcomes of individual GME graduates
  • Outcomes of GME programs
  • Outcomes of teaching institutions
  • Outcomes at the national, regional, or state level

Breakout groups on October 11 regarding the implementation of GME metrics:

  • How can buy-in be achieved and accuracy ensured?
  • Should providing data be a requirement?
  • Who/how should a national database be maintained?
  • How should this be funded?
  • What infrastructure is required?

If you will participate in the meeting via webcast, there is no need to sign up for a specific breakout group.
