Event description

About this Event

Families will pay $5 per person at the museum. Please have your money ready to give to the museum staff.

Grades: 6-8

Description: In this field trip, students and caretakers will have the opportunity to peruse all of the museum. First we will hear Eva Kor's pre-recorded presentation of her survival of the Holocaust. Students and Caretakers will have time to interact with Eva's hologram, Dimensions and Testimonies, and go through the Choices part of the museum with a docent.

We will leave the museum to go to lunch at 12:00 EST. We will head north for lunch at McDonald's at 222 South 3rd St., Terre Haute, IN. (It is just a few minutes north of the museum).

We will return to the museum after lunch, around 1 PM EST, to talk with Walter Summers, another Holocaust survivor. He was 17 on the Night of the Broken Glass. He will be available for conversation from 1 to 4.

(If families need to go home at 12, that is fine. The rest of the group will have time at lunch to eat and chat with each other before heading back to the museum to meet and talk with Mr. Summers.
