It may not have snowed too much so far, but winter is fast approaching! We invite grad students with families to take a break from taking, grading, or giving final exams and celebrate winter by building a simple gingerbread house, exploring other crafts for kids, and enjoying winter music, winter snacks, and hot chocolate! We will provide all the supplies for building and decorating a simple "gingerbread" house - graham crackers, icing "glue" and candy decorations.
This event is designed for Yale Graduate Students, Professional Students, and Postdoctoral Fellows with families. Parents and caregivers, please be prepared to assist your children in assembling the houses, which requires no previous experience but a little bit of fine motor skill. This will surely be a great way to get into the spirit of the season and the winter months ahead!
If you don't have children of your own, don't despair--there's a McDougal Gingerbread House study break event Thursday December 8, designed for student builders !
