Event description
A cozy release show for Grace Givertz's first full length album. Rachel Sumner and Sweet Petunia open.

About this Event

Join Grace Givertz and her band (!!!) to celebrate the release of her first full length album. Doors at 7:00pm, music at 7:30.

Grace Givertz is a Boston based indie folk singer songwriter. With a large voice packed into a tiny body, Grace pairs her witty and honest lyrics with various instruments to bring a refreshing sound to folk. Born and raised in Jupiter, Florida, Grace has been writing songs and performing since she was eleven years old. She draws influence from artists such as Brandi Carlile, Odetta, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon while continuing to create her own unique sound.

She may be best known as the former guitarist and singer-songwriter from string phenom Twisted Pine, but her work as a solo artist shows there's much more to Rachel Sumner that we are just now getting to see. Praised by audiences for her powerful, lonesome voice and haunting songs, Rachel carefully spins melodies that get caught in your head and delivers them “with an attitude and drive in her guitar playing...sure to strike a chord and dig deep into your heart. ” (Red Line Roots)

Sweet Petunia is a Boston based, queer, female, Folk-Americana power duo composed of musicians Madison Simpson and Mairead Guy. They play big music with small instruments, packed with emotion and political commentary.
