This training program is designed to help small businesses understand government contracting programs for small business. It is about helping small firms win federal contracts.

There are two parts to this training program. Part one provides a small business introduction to government contracting. It describes prime and subcontracting assistance programs, and describes the small business certification programs

Course Content Learning Outcomes:

1. Understand prime contracting and subcontracting assistance programs and how they can be used to take advantage of federal contract opportunities.

2. Understand SBA’s certification programs – the 8(a) Business Development, HUBZone programs and newly implemented women owned small business formal certification.

3. Know about the self-certification for small business owned and the set-aside procedure and regulations.

4. And, have a general understanding and know about how the federal Government Buy and the Primary Buying Methods
