The Plot

Prof Abraham Van Helsing, a global authority on the subject of blood diseases, has been gifted the infamous ship "The Demeter" by Count Orlok, for some rather unusual and very expensive studies. As his resources are dwindling, You are not surprised that Van Helsing turns to You for support, given Your status and wealth and more so Your interest in his subject. You are beyond curious to learn about his breakthroughs, which are claimed to be unheard of in the Victorian age and You've graciously accepted his invitation to a Fundraiser of a special kind: A nighttime cruise aboard the Demeter, where he has promised to reveal his latest findings.

Count Orlok, had been a long-time patron of Van Helsing's work, but funding has become sparse since Orlok, notorious for some rather dark rumors surrounding his trip to Transylvania, retreated to take care of his ill daughter and vanished from the public eye.
A friend who means well though, told you about a rather disturbing letter Van Helsing is said to have received, when the ship was gifted to him,... but you have your own reasons to ignore that warning:

My dear old friend Prof Van Helsing!

It is not despair that guides this quill, it is submission to the fate I have brought upon me and my family. My dear daughter Margarethe will never be the woman she once was and it is only thanks to you, that she has held on to life despite her condition. I am grateful that she lives and I will dedicate the rest of my days to ease her pain. Never had a father a better daughter and I must cherish what time I have left with her. I’m abandoning my studies, I risked and lost already too much, but I know leaving these dark secrets with you, they are in good hands, in safe hands! You must keep them safe – you must keep us all safe! I know the burden I bestow upon you and I know you, my friend, can carry it.
They can’t cross water, so my ship the Demeter should serve you and your studies well, accept it as a gift and sign of my gratitude.
I hope your revelations will keep the dark at bay, for I fear we know much less than we think about the Vampyr.

There is a shadow over the city, something is brewing, a storm is coming!

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Yes this is a 21+ event! Please remember your ID!

What is the difference between the different tiers?

We have a limited amount of tickets in each tier. We definitely want to give ppl on a tight budget the chance to attend by booking early. But since the ship, the crew and performers need to be paid and we're on tight margins to cover the costs, we're grateful for everybody who can or want to give more.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes

Risks and Challenges

We have a grand vision for this site-specific interactive theatrical experience.
The more money we raise, the greater talent we can afford. There is a minimum budget to sail the ship, then to afford each Actor/Performer/Musician, the margin is quite slim. Its definitely a labor of love here. Every penny made will be utilized for this event. The ship will not sail unless we have the basic attendance of 50 passengers. In the event of rain, we will not be able to sail due to the delicacy of the sound equipment - all tickets will be refunded.
