A discussion of anxiety in children and what we as parents can do to help - presented by Dr. Caroline Adelman and Ms. Ellen Bee

About this Event

It is no surprise that the rates of anxiety have markedly increased in children and adolescents over the last few decades. Parents want to learn what they can do to help identify and support their children struggling with anxiety.

Dr. Caroline Adelman and Ms.Ellen Bee of Chicago Psychotherapy LLC will provide parents with an overview of childhood anxiety and the contributing factors. They will discuss the best practices in helping address anxiety in youth.

Dr. Adelman and Ms. Bee will also discuss how family can help provide support to their anxious youth. In addition, the speakers will discuss the special considerations in understanding and addressing anxiety in populations of high achieving students.

Finally, Dr. Adelman and Ms. Bee will discuss strategies for fostering resilience among all children which can help them deal with the stresses of everyday life.
