ITP, in partnership with the UX team at google is hosting a panel discussion on FridayJanuary 30th from 6-8pm at ITP. 
Topic: WHAT IS UX?

5 UX professionals, representing large and small creative agencies, startups and a tech company with share their insights on what they do, what working in the UX field is like and what companies are looking for in hiring UX talent. This is an opportunity to gain insight on the professional practice of UX. The event is open to ITP current students and alum. RSVP required. 

Beverages and snacks will be served.


  • Cinthya Mohr, Staff UX Lead at Google:
    • Cinthya leads the UX team for Education at Google, focusing on Google Classroom and Google Play for Education. She works closely with Engineers, Product Managers and UXers to develop user centric solutions for educators, students, parents and school admins. Cinthya has been working in the t! ech industry for 10+ years,  starting at Microsoft where she spent 7 years in various teams including Windows Live, Emerging Markets, and Bing delivering UX direction for their current and next generation of products. She then moved to Google, where she’s been for 3+ years.
    • Cinthya has a Master’s in Human Centered Design from the Institute of Design, IIT.
  • Hoshi Ludwig, Former Associate Creative Director at RG/A:
    • Hoshi Ludwig is an NYC based director/designer currently at Google. Former Associate Creative Director at R/GA where he led design and business solutions f! or Nike (most recently and Nike SB). He has designed and lead award-winning experiences, platforms and campaigns for brands like Nike, The North Face, Audi and AT&T. With a passion for communication, craft and strategy he strives to deliver premium work from concept to execution. Also a faculty member at School of Visual Arts, teaching a Senior Interactive Portfolio class. @hoshiludwig
  • Paul Gunther, Interaction Designer at Fifty three:

Paula is an Interaction designer at FiftyThree with a focus on product plann! ing, user research and system design. Former Associate Creative Director at R/GA where she led interaction design projects for the Nike account. Previously crafted new platform experiences for Microsoft including KIN, Windows Phone 7 and Office. Part time foodie and lover of good red wine. @pollybirdy

  • Andre Mohr, Chief Design Officer at PBB:

Andre leads the Product and Brand Design team at Personal BlackBox. He has 10+ years of experience in Product Design and UX, applying user-centric product strategy and development approaches. Prior to PBB, Andre was a Creative Director at frog. Before frog Andre spend a year at AOL and 6+ years at Microsoft shaping the UX discipline and designing a variety of products, including shaping the 3-5 year product vision and strategy for Windows Phone and Xbox. Outside of UX Andre loves anything art & design related and h! e is a passionate photographer. Andre graduate from Parsons School of Design with a BFA in Design & Technology and a minor in animation.

  • Turi McKinley at Frog:

    • Turi focuses on developing participatory design and creative collaboration processes and skills within frog and for frog clients. She partners closely with companies seeking to develop new skillset! s and creative collaboration capabilities through a learn-by-doing approach. Her clients include GE, Honeywell, ETS, Humana, Mars Drinks, UNICEF, Colgate and MTV. Turi’s background is in anthropology, interaction design, design research, and experience strategy. She holds an MFA in Design and Technology from the Parsons School of Design.
