Google Digital Garage Bus comes to Yarm
Date and time
Description
Greentreeonline and the Yarm Business Forum are very excited to be partnering up with The Google Digital Garage bus tour to the North East this summer to bring the Bus to Yarm.
The Digital Garage is a place where anyone can come and learn how to harness the power of the internet to grow their business, learn more about the internet, or develop new vocational skills.
The Bus will be stopping in the centre of Yarm High Street on Tuesday 25th June 2019 between 9:30 and 4pm.
Whether you want to learn new skills to develop your career, build your own business or just grow your confidence online, we can help.
There's free in-person one to one coaching available all day on the bus, and three bookable sessions about digital marketing, aimed at businesses or organisations:
10:00am - 11:00am An introduction to Digital Advertising;
12:00pm - 1:00pm Build a Digital Marketing Plan;
2:00pm - 3:00pm Social Media Strategy.
FAQs
Do I need to book for the drop-in?
No, you can just turn up. We've added an optional drop-in 'ticket' to this event in case you want to remind yourself about the event, or add it to your calendar.
Does my ticket guarantee me a place on the bookable sessions?
There are 16 places for each session - we're releasing 20 tickets, plus a waiting list. These sessions are likely to be very popular, but like all free events, sometimes people can't make it on the day.
If you book but then need to cancel, we ask that you please let Victoria know at victoria@greentreeonline.co.uk, or log in to cancel, so that we can free up the place for someone else.
At each session we will check your name against the list of people who have booked. Once the session starts getting full we will allocate places based on first come, first served.
However, there are staff from Google in the downstairs part of the bus all day, so if you don't manage to get into a booked session, you can access one to one help.
Can I book all three sessions?
Yes you can.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
You can park for three hours on Yarm High Street for £1. If you'd like to spend all day in town, you can park on one of the residential streets to the south of the High Street, which is easily walkable. From Challoner Road area for example, you can take a shortcut through the allotments to town.
Yarm railway station is about half an hour's walk from the High Street. Transpennine Express services between Middlesbrough and Manchester airport stop at Yarm. You can find timetables here. From the station, there are taxi services. Alternatively, on foot, you can cut through the estates or go past Conyers School then turn left up The Spital.
The two buses are the 17A, 17 or X17 from Middlesbrough via Thornaby, or the 7 or 7A from Stockton via Eaglescliffe. Find information from Arriva here.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
The organiser for the day is Victoria Sauron. You can email victoria@greentreeonline.co.uk or text 07587 789471.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes that's fine, as long as you book the correct number of places. We will check your booking against a list on the day.
