Description

Join us* for this 2-hour training on Google's CS First platform to gain the confidence and ability to bring coding and Computer Science to your students. CS First is a free, easy-to-use computer science curriculum that is designed to engage a diverse student population in grades 4-8 (ages 9-14). During this training, you will use modular videos to teach kids foundational computer science concepts and coding basics with Scratch, a block-based coding tool. Whether you have never felt like a "techy" or you would like to build upon prior skills, we encourage you to attend! Refreshments will be served.

*Note: This session is for NYCSLA members only. Non-members who are interested in attending should reach out to nycsla.librarians@gmail.com.

Bring your own laptop or use one from the school's library.
