Join us for an afternoon full of conversations, laughter, and social justice! Taz Ahmed and Zahra Noorbakhsh, co-hosts of the #GoodMuslimBadMuslim Podcast, will be performing a live show featuring stand-up comedy, dialogue, and storytelling. They will be sharing their experiences of activism, comedy, and combating Islamophobia. A facilitated Q&A will occur immediately after the interactive lecture.

Doors Open 4:00pm. Performance Begins at 4:30pm

About the Speakers

Taz Ahmed is a South Asian Muslim American essayist, storyteller, and former electoral organizer who has worked to mobilize thousand of AAPI voters. She has worked with numerous social justice organizations, such as South Asians for Justice and 18Million Rising, and has contributed her writing to the Radical Love column in Love Inshallah, Sepia Mutiny, and Mishthi Music. Zahra Noorbakhsh is a feminist Iranian American Muslim comedian. She has performed numerous one woman shows such as "All Atheists are Muslim" and "Hijab and Hammerpants." Zahra is also a contributor for Love Inshallah: The Secret Love Lives of American Muslim Women. Throughout her career, she has performed with W. Kamau Bell, Hari Kondabolu, and Maz Jobrani. Together, Taz and Zahra created the #GoodMuslimBadMuslim podcast to address issues of Islamophobia and other forms of injustices through storytelling and comedy.
