Join us on January 27, right after the SC Legislature goes into session, for a Legislative Update from experts + an Advocacy Training!

About this Event

The legislature is back in session, and several important issues are already "hot topics." What will the state legislature will be voting on this year? Want to know how you can get involved and have your voice heard?

As the SC State Legislature kicks off the year, join us to learn more about their 2020 agenda, key good governance issues that will impact policymaking for decades to come, and how to be an effective advocate.

Pizza will be served at 5:30, program begins promptly at 6:00 with a panel, followed by an advocacy training at 6:45, which will include a hands-on advocacy opportunity.

Panelists include Meg Kinnard, politics reporter for the Associated Press, Jonathan Rauh, VP of Evaluation and Public Policy, Trident United Way and Dr. Gibbs Knotts, Professor of Political Science at the College of Charleston.
