Event description

Description

Bringing together independent retailers at all stages of growth, the Good Food Merchants Summit is an opportunity to share best practices towards financial, environmental and social sustainability, in order to unite more widely and deeply across the country with all the business owners using their markets to inspire change in the food system. The inaugural Summit on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 will focus on the ways technology can be leveraged to stay relevant in a competitive retail landscape.

The Summit will take place the morning of the Good Food Mercantile at the Brooklyn EXPO Center in Greenpoint from 8:30 AM – 12 PM, giving the 75 attendees (including 12 current Alliance members and 20 other independent grocers) ample time to connect with one another, learn from thought leaders and ensure early access to meeting the 100 good crafters participating in the show.

The half-day event includes a breakfast plenary, keynote address and two tracks of breakout sessions moderated by members of the Collaborative on topics such as “The Competitive Advantage of Collaboration” and “Introduction to the Entrepreneurial Operating System” and “Brick & Mortar + Technology: What to Incorporate, What to Politely Pass On."

Tickets ($95) include one retailer pass ($35 value) to the Good Food Mercantile NYC. Members of the Good Food Merchants Alliance at all levels receive complimentary tickets to the Summit (Supporter – 1, Sustainer – 2, Collaborative – 3).
