Description

Good Data Saves Lives

Computers and mobile devices have become indispensable for many healthcare workers throughout the past decade, making it easier for them to collect patient information, track resources, and record disease incidence. The proliferation of digital tools in global health has also made data collection more efficient and accurate. Though access to reliable data can significantly improve public health officials’ decision making and strategic planning abilities, there are still challenges facing the successful integration of data into health systems worldwide.

eHealth Africa (eHA) is hosting an event on the strategic use of data to improve public health outcomes, offering unique insight on community-based ways forward gained through a decade of experience. The evening will include lightning talks by thought-leaders in global health and technology and a presentation of Aether, eHA’s platform designed to facilitate the development of data-driven solutions.

Event Speakers:

  • Prof. Dr. med. Titus Kühne. Director of the Institute for Imaging Science and Computational Modelling in Cardiovascular Medicine and CEO of the company e-Medical Communication.

  • Prof. Dr. Tim Conrad. Researcer and professor in the field of biometric informatics at the Freie Universität Berlin and the Zuse Institute Berlin.

  • Hila Azadzoy from Ada. Ada is an AI-driven app aiming to improve access to healthcare globally.
