Most of us live in a constant state of stress. Our nervous systems operate in “flight or fight” mode on a regular basis, despite the lack of any physical danger. This chronic stress leads to physical and mental health deterioration.

Restorative Yoga is a gentle style of yoga that uses props to support the body in restful still positions. The focus of the practice is to restore the central nervous system and the internal systems of the body.

Restorative Yoga:

  • Is the yoga for the nervous system

  • Is the perfect complement to fitness classes, sports, exercise and more active styles of yoga

  • Fully supported poses held for longer periods of time in order to access the deeper tissues (fascia and connective tissue)

  • Subtle and gentle yet deep and lasting stretches/openings
