Event description

Description

During summer vacation on a forgotten Shetland island, Amy learns she has the ability to travel into books as a member of the Lennox family. Amy quickly finds friends in the book world. Shere Khan, the tiger from the Jungle Book, has valuable advice for her. While Goethe’s Werther drowns his sorrows in ink cocktails, lost in his lovesickness, he remains a loyal friend to Amy, ever since she saved him from attack from the witches in MacBeth. Only the idea to give Oliver Twist gum was probably not the best… But soon Amy learns that the book world is not as peaceful as it appears. First money goes missing from the treasure of Ali Baba, then Elizabeth Bennet injures herself on the way to the ball to meet Mr. Darcy, so that one of the greatest love stories of world literature is in peril. For Amy, it’s obvious: she must find the troublemaker! But first, as the accidents have bearing in the real world and lead to a death, it becomes clear to Amy how serious the threat is. What did the mysterious assassin zero in on?

In cooperation with the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at The Catholic University of America.
