Event description

Description

A Spiegel magazine best seller, Blackout is a thriller that has been translated into 17 languages and has sold over 2 million copies. Marc Elsberg’s debut novel is not only fast-paced and action-packed, but also contemplates difficult moral issues during a disaster, namely if the electrical grid in Europe failed. Day by day, the story takes you through the power failure’s investigation to find out who or what is behind the blackout. Bringing together technology, politics, and action, the novel will have you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next.

Marc Elsberg (1967-) is a Berlin-based Austrian author. He studied at the University for Applied Arts in Vienna and worked in advertising. In addition to Blackout, he has written Zero (2016) and Helix (2016). He read from the English translation this year at the Austrian Embassy Washington.
