Event description
Spend an evening delving into the creation and future of humanity with Bruce Damer.

About this Event

In this time of downright panic about the possible consequences of climate change, we can seek solace and solutions by looking back (way back) at how life might have started on the Earth, leading to the evolution of Humans, and what makes up the "code" of our psyches. Dr. Bruce Damer, an origins of life research scientist from the University of California at Santa Cruz will take us on a sweeping journey through four billion years to make some proposals for the decade of the 2020s on how we can bridge and evolve through mass extinction and planetary transformation.

A re-casting of "God" as an interconnected probability shaping network effect may be the key tool for our survival and the emergence of a more remarkable future than we can suppose.

Bruce is a multi-disciplinary scientist, designer and researcher at the University of California, Santa Cruz. His career highlights include exploring and creating virtual worlds in the 1990s with Terence McKenna, being an adviser for NASA, a long time Burner, holder of Timothy Leary's archives, and creater of one of the worlds largest collection of vintage computers. He has also co-developed a new hypothesis for how life began on the Earth, focusing on terrestrial hot springs as the driving force for the origin of life.

More may be explored about Dr. Damer and his Levity Zone podcast and Patreon community at: www.damer.com
