On January 31, 2019 Faith Forward Dallas @ Thanks-Giving Square will host a training for people of faith and goodwill committed to ending gun violence. The conference is open to all—whether clergy, congregants, lay leaders, or community members—who want to see faith communities play a larger role in addressing the causes and consequences of gun violence.

The issue of guns and violence can be tricky for a lot of faith communities. Even mentioning a mass shooting in worship can be controversial for some congregations. Others might be frustrated that their religious community isn’t more involved in organizing against gun violence.

God and Guns will address the uniquely compelling moral vision and leadership available to faith communities while also providing two workshops, a local briefing panel and a keynote luncheon with Dr. Brian Williams.
