In partnership with the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh, we are bringing a Diversity Training to G&G! In the wake of the election and the movement of the elected administration, Goals and Growth is committed to doing more to support the civil rights of all people, standing up for injustice, and learning ways to be supportive of all who live in America, as well as how to support the environment and ourselves. G&G will actively be a safe space for all races, backgrounds, religions, etc. It will continue to be women only. :) And wine will also always be welcome.
The Islamic Center of Pittsburgh welcomes you to become a Muslim Ally. Through the new and improved Diversity Training you will gain knowledge about how to interact with Muslims in America to not only ensure comfortability but to also portray solidarity.
- Learn Cultural Norms for speaking and interacting to show sensitivity to the Muslim community.
- Learn Religious Practices that make up a Muslims lifestyle
- Receive the Call to Action List of ways that one can show solidarity to Muslims within the Greater Pittsburgh Area
Presented by Kelcey Sharkas:
